Thoughts - This is the first fan fiction I’ve ever read, not just for this series, but at all, and, it is quite possible, all fan fiction from here on out will be ruined for me because I will hold it to this standard. What a brilliantly written and imagined retelling and elaboration on the canonical text. SenLinYu’s version feels more real and more honest than the original. I would absolutely read this book again and will when it comes out as reworked novel, Alchemised, in a world entirely of SenLinYu’s making this fall.
